"What's wrong with Kurloz?" you asked, only a tinge of anger revealed in your voice. It's not like he's evil or anything!
She sighed. "I'll explain to you later. I don't want you to make a scene." And with that, she returned speak to the kings and queens of the other kingdoms.
You were about to stomp off in a huff, but Meulin soon stopped you.
"___!" She squealed. "Well? How was your dance?"
"Which one? Prince fish-face, or fairy-butt?" You asked sarcastically.
She batted your arm. "You very well know who I mean! Prince Kurloz!"
"I'll tell you after the banquet. If I don't 'get back in line' or whatever mother says, she'll have my hide!"
"Aww!"
*ting**ting**ting* "Alright everyone, dinner is served!"
You, along with the other princes and princesses took your seats at the table across from that of the kings and queens. The feast was equisite, featuring dishes from each of the different kingdoms; twelve all in all. The hall was full of the klinking of glasses, the chatter of stories, the oohs and aahs of latest conquests, and it seemed as though the evening would go on without a hitch. That is until a sudden argument broke out.
King Makara and your mother were both on their feet, all the other rulers trying to calm them down.
"How dare you say such a thing!" Your mother hissed.
"Now what did I do this motherfucking time?" He growled back.
"You called me a blind old bat!"
"Says who? We all know you are one, so why would I need to point that out?"
"I need not say who, but my servant has said he was witness to you spreading insults about me!"
The argument, which was impossible to stop at this point, could be seen as trivial to some, but the two kingdoms have been in a less than friendly relationship for years. They simply invited each other to festivities so as to not make things worse.
"Oh dear." Meulin whispered. "Maybe we should head outside until all our parents sort this predicament out."
The other princes and princesses nodded in agreement.
Once outside, everyone dispersed into their own little groups. Princes Horuss and Rufioh, along with princess Damara, off to one side, princesses Meenah, Aranea, and Porrim to another, with princes Kankri and Cronus on the side. Prince Mituna was with princess Latula, and over at the edge of the balcony was Meulin with Kurloz.
"I wonder what that was all about." You said, walking over to them.
"Do you think they really need a reason to fight?" Meulin said, leaning on the balcony. Everyone knew about the hatred between the two rulers.
You were about to answer, but heard faint booms in the distance.
"Ooh! The fireworks are starting!" Meulin said gleefully, straightening up. "Let's go- Oh, I left my shawl at the table. I'll be right back!" And with that she trotted back inside, to return shortly. At least that's what you thought, but before long, she ran back outside.
"___! ___!" She said, almost out of breath. "The queen is looking for you!"
"Mother? Why?"
"I don't know, but she looks really angry!" She looked at Kurloz. "Don't worry, I'll stall her! Just head over to the garden to watch the fireworks, okay? I'll follow!"
Before you could protest, she was gone.
"Honestly. Sometimes I wonder what she's thinking."
"Well, she is your best friend. She's just looking out for you. Now, will you do me the honor of being your escort to the garden this evening?" He said, bowing, giving you a wink. He was such a gentleman, and he had a simply enchanting voice. How could you say no?
"Alright. She said she'd meet us anyway." So you took his hand in yours and began your walk to the garden.
So I sneak out to the garden to see you
We keep quiet cause we're dead if they knew
So close your eyes
Escape this town for a little while

BY THE WAY
since this is tooo long dammit, this is a troll!highblood!sea dweller!Reader x Gamzee...
Please don't hurt me.
It hadn't taken long for Gamzee to fall in love with ___. Although for the moment, he couldn't have her.
No, it wasn't that her quadrants were full. Quite the contrary, indeed. They were all empty, and she was happy. And a highblood. Higher than Eridan, but lower than Feferi. She was a sea dweller too, and she probably wasn't interested in him in a Red-Rom way.
He spoke to her a lot on trollian, and she always used her little fish emoticon, E'oo'3. Gamzee liked it for some strange reason. It was like his signature : o)

"Any volunteers?" your nuisance of a teacher, Dr. Vantas, asked the classroom, leaving just a few hands to shoot up in to the air. You looked across the class to your long time moirail Karkat, who nodded towards yourself as he raised his hand high up in to the air. Dr. Vantas, who also just so happened to be Karkat's older brother, was asking who would like to help with setting up the upcoming 'Valentine's Dance,' and it wouldn't be fair of you to leave your best guy friend alone to set up for this stupid thing. Reluctantly, you raised your hand as well.
"Alright, perfect. I'll be expecting to see you all this

Gamzee X Reader X Karkat
You sat in your chair in the newly furnished living room of your friend Karkat's house. You put your chin in the palm of your hand as you leaned forward. You sat on a green plush couch covered in a blanket. You had slept here the night before and were just waking up at 3 in the afternoon. You and Karkat had stayed up late prank calling businesses using *67 to keep your number anonymous.
Karkat walked into the living room sleepily rubbing his eyes with the back of his hand. "Good fucking morning nooksucker." You laughed. He always called you fowl names just to piss you off but you really didn't care. It was just ador
